T21 not powering on

Just got a T21 off eBay, was working perfectly fine, but now the system won't power on at all. When I hit the power button, the system does turn on for a second or two, and the lights do come on. But the battery light (it's amber) will blink for a few seconds and then the machine turns off. There's no hard drive in this machine. Is this the "blink of death"?

I took the battery out, and now nothing happens when I turn on the computer. When I put the battery back in, it works again. I'm sure the AC adapter is connected... What, did the AC adapter now break? It was working fine earlier.

I literally just got this thing today and it gives me this crap after a few hours....
