Possible to undo Fn-Ctrl swap on Middleton BIOS?
I have a 14.1" widescreen T61 Type 7663-04U which I updated with a Middleton BIOS awhile back. I currently have the Fn and Ctrl mappings swapped.
I want to revert back to default factory mappings and have tried flashing the BIOS with the regular Middleton BIOS and with the default Lenovo OEM BIOS.
I fully powered off after each successful flash but the keys are still swapped. I flashed each time using a bootable CD I burned from the available ISO images.

Have you tried F9+F10 in BIOS (Default settings) after each flash?
Otherwise try this:
- reflash first with a previous Lenovo BIOS, set Defaults F9-F10, try Fn + CTRL
- next reflash with Lenovo BIOS 2.29-1.08, set Defaults F9-F10, try Fn + CTRL
- there are two versions included in the Middleton download, check that you created the correct ISO without Fn/CTRL
- re-download from here if needed: https://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Middleton%27s_BIOS

Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

flashing the non-cntrl/fn swap middleton disc should be all you need to do. The lenovo bios may not change it back and even if it did, you'd lose the advantages the bios gives you.

Re: Possible to undo Fn-Ctrl swap on Middleton BIOS?
Any joy with this?
I've flashed my T61 and hate the fn-ctrl swap! I thought it would enable a setting to allow it to be turned on/off.
I've tried everything, including flashing with 2.30 from Lenovo, but the fn-ctrl are still swapped!
Thanks!

Re: Possible to undo Fn-Ctrl swap on Middleton BIOS?
Sorry guys a stupid question: which files am I supposed to burn on Cd for the Middleton BIOS update? I burned the iso file from 32-bit directory but this just hangs the PC....
Happy for hints!

For whom search the answer through Google.
How to undo Fn-Ctrl swap on Middlenton BIOS
1. As the Fn-Ctrl is located in EC, you need to downgrade the bios. Middlenton bios come with EC version 1.03. So I pick a bios comes with EC version 1.02 and I chose lenovo original 7NET30WW (1.11)
2. Make a bootable USB with MS-DOS. Extract the ISO file and you can get all necessary files including phlash16.exe.
3. Just Flash the original bios with EC 1.02 with
phlash16 /c /x orig.fl1
4. And flash Middlenton bios (sure not the Fn-Swap version) again
phlash16 /c /x $01B2000.FL1
Hope this post can help someone saving some time in guessing the solutions.
Cheers
