OLED display on X210?

I see that laptops with OLED displays started to pop up. Is it possible to retrofit a replacement OLED display in X210 without much extra tinkering? At the first glance though, the displays are usually 16:9 while X210 has a 16:10 one. Maybe Dell's new XPS 13 2-in-1 one would fit?

I don't believe there's enough horizontal space on the chassis. The new X2100s that I'm building is based on the 3:2 13" displays and any eDP displays is technically supported by the board (4 lanes of eDP signal). The biggest display you could probably squeeze in is the ones that I'm using and any bigger will need a custom designed & produced display chassis.

What about the backlight power? Won't there be any incompatibilities between LCD and OLED panels?

The controller board on the panel generally handles that, so as long as it's eDP it should work, no guarantees obviously.
