ThinkPad TB3 Gen2 Dock (40ANO135US) wont boot laptop with Logitech mouse receiver inserted into USB port on dock.
Am using a new ThinkPad TB3 Gen2 Dock (40ANO135US) with latest firmware and drivers. It seems my system (P43s, 2 monitors, printer and scanner along with Logitech mouse connected to the dock) wont boot (hangs at the red Lenovo screen) when I press the power button on the dock when the Logitech mouse receiver is inserted in one of the USB slots on the dock. Plugging the receiver directly to the laptop resolves this problem. Plugging the mouse receiver in into the dock after boot up of the system also allows the mouse to work. So it seems the mouse receiver is the culprit. Can anyone help?
Note: I posted in the T series forum instead of the P series as the P43s is equivalent to the T490 and there is a greater installed user base for the T series thus hoping to get a better response. Also, latest drivers and firmware are installed to the P43s.

P43s has two USB 3.1 ports, one of those is Always On.
I guess the Logitech dongle is USB 2.0.
Do you have the problem in both those ports?

Sorry maybe my message is not clear. When the mouse receiver is plugged into the DOCK, the LAPTOP wont boot when it is powered on via the power button on the DOCK. Then the mouse receiver is plugged into the LAPTOP, the LAPTOP WILL BOOT when I press the power button on the DOCK. The dock connects to the laptop via a TB3 cable.
My guess is the computer thinks the reveiver is some sort of USB HDD. However this is a UEFI BIOS and I am not sure what to do to fix this.

The ports on the laptop and dock are all USB 3.1.

Which leaves the question: why put that mouse-dongle in the dock, as you really should leave it in the laptop?

By design, it should work as the manual says so. However, they don't explain how.
Now that you understand my objective, are you able to help? Thanks.

I would check every setting in the BIOS that has to do with Thunderbolt/USB device authorization.
And update the dock firmware, if a newer version exists.
