Can we boost w-fi reception for a T4x by connecting
an antenna to some location (where :?: :!: :?: ) on
the laptop???

Doubtful that anything you connect will be better than the built-in antennas in the lid.

A better wifi card might be all you need: TP-LINK TL-WN861N 300Mbps wifi-N.

But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!
