X60, secuirty chip fix?
X60, secuirty chip fix?
Just got this thinkpad X60, when I try to turn it on I get 4 short beeps and then it powers off. The manual says this is an issue with the security chip, but I can't seem to find anything on how to fix that or if it even is fixable. Anyone have any resources I can work with? Thank you!

Upon boot, immediately press F1 to go into BIOS.
If you can get in, you can then disable it in the Security section.
But have a look here: viewtopic.php?t=90116
