Hello everyone,
Thank you very much for accepting me on your forum
It’s been 8 years since my T530 i7 accompanied me through my studies then work.
I broke the screen one time and I have been using the computer for some times with an extra screen.
I want to use it now like I used to, as a laptop
Problem is, I cannot get the screen to switch on.
I bought a new LCD cable
And still …
The screen I bought is from a W530
Seems to be the exact same thing with 40 pins
I don’t want to throw this good machine away..
Would you have some ideas ?

Re: LCD screen won’t switch on
Could be a blown fuse, specifically the one that supplies power to the LCD backlight.

Thank you very much for this quick reply
Well , i manage fuse issues when it comes to cars , but on a computer… is it a feasible job ?

Re: LCD screen won’t switch on
On T530 it would be fuse F3 near the LCD-connector on the motherboard.
Remove charger and main battery before you work on any part of an LCD.
Test F3 for continuity with a multimeter.
It is 3A/32V/Fast, such as ERBRD3R00X.
If blown, just solder a new one on top of the old one.
