ThinkPad X270 Fingerprint Sensor Upgrade

Hello, I have a ThinkPad X270 base model without fingerprint sensor, this means the palm rest base does not include the small hole for the fingerprint sensor.

If I purchase the palm rest base, fingerprint sensor and the updated cable for the trackpad and sensor on AliExpress, can I upgrade my model to have one?

They are relatively inexpensive on AliExpress, I can get all 3 parts for about $60 CAD.

The answer is "probably yes", but do examine your existing palmrest and check if the trackpad can be easily transplanted.
