WTB: T60/T61 NMB Keyboard

#1 Post by sammyjay » Tue Mar 04, 2025 9:07 pm

Hi, I'm looking for a T60/T61 keyboard (preferably NMB) in good condition and with US layout. If it's new, even better. I live in the US and will pay for domestic shipping.

I can’t personally help you, but another user on the forum is selling a NOS T61 ALPS keyboard here: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=137201

These NMBs are hard to find, especially NOS. Best of luck though :D

Hey, thanks for the heads up. I'm currently using a Chicony (T60) keyboard. Do you think the T61 Alps is a noticeable improvement? To be honest the Chicony is a perfectly good keyboard, it's just my neuroticism that pushes me to try out different variants...

I think it will be, but I also don't know if I've ever tried an ALPS T6x keyboard. I think the general consensus for most of these older classic keyboards is almost always Chicony < ALPS < NMB but some people have different opinions. You can try your luck on eBay searching keyboard FRUs (see T60 and T61 HMM) but most on there are worn and/or slightly expensive. I will tell you that in 2025 it is very rare to see anyone selling these old T6x keyboards NOS (that isn't chicony), and for $26 USD shipped I don't imagine you'll find much better than that.

I can however vouch for the NMB, they are fantastic keyboards :D

I have 2 of those, but they are in Ireland.

7-row 42T3109/42T3143 (NMB, US-ANSI)
7-row 39T0928/39T0958 (NMB, US-ANSI)

Both are in good condition.
Price: $25 each + shipping
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

How much will shipping be?

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I can justify that cost for myself

any interest in a P/N 42T3904 FRU 42T3937 that came off an R500 that only had 12 battery cycles on it? I believe the T500/R500 keyboards also fit the T60/T61. The keyboard is nearly new.
