x1 Carbon Gen 9 UHD+ LCD deets

I'm picking up a nice X1 Carbon Gen 9 for a mod project (of course ). I want to upgrade the LCD to something nicer - matte & higher refresh rate.

For background, I did this on a Carbon Gen 6 (https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comme ... raded_lcd/) - putting in a beautiful 120hz 2560x1440 screen with good contrast ratios & brightness.

I got one that has the UHD+ glossy screen, so the 40-pin connect is already installed. Check.

Now I'm looking for a compatible 2560x1600 120hz+ eDP screen and... can't find anything! I can get close, but it looks like the connectors are incompatible.

Does anyone know what the connector is on the back of the panel? (mine hasn't arrived yet and haven't been able to crack it open).

I believe these are compatible MNE007ZA1-2 and MNE007ZA1-4, and the connectors are the usual locking one that I've seen forever that should mate to this cable (https://www.ebay.com/itm/126550481191)

Having a heck of a time figuring this one out. Anyone with, um... knowledge have any guidance?
