Re: FS: Classic thinkpads & parts
Hello, I am interested and would like details about the following systems, I assume they are still available:
- X61s 7669-3JG LCD busted 20$
- X60 1706-5DG For parts only, completely busted FREE
- X61 7673-CTO working, need to check specs $40
also, somewhat minor, but what branding is on the non-slim x61?

Re: FS: Classic thinkpads & parts
I may have but you need to be specific about which particular LCD or inverter you're after as there are at least 3 different types across each of the 360 and 365 model ranges.

Re: FS: Classic thinkpads & parts
Hello - possibly interested in T530 - do you still have either of them? Also, chassis parts for an x301 - the rubberised coating stuff has gone strange on mine.
Shipping would be to Australia - any idea of the cost?
Cheers

Re: FS: Classic thinkpads & parts
Drumpf's tariffs are killing any reasonable ideas of shipping from Europe to USA.
A tiny padded envelope with 2x T23 HDD-caddies, weighing about 60 grams, cost €20/$23 shipping and that was even before Drumpf's magalomaniac war ideas and the increase of fuel costs!

Re: FS: Classic thinkpads & parts
when i used to send thinkpads to Europe i had to fill in a customs form with valuations etc. it was always a gamble, insure for the real value or understate value for insurance and duties, how is that any different now, especially for junk parts computers..?
i think it was 20% VAT + maybe other stuff notwithstanding shipping costs..
i should inventory the half dozen thinkpads scattered around in the "study" room and elsewhere in the house which includes the X300 #1..
i get stuff from ETSY and other chinese type sites stuffed in a plastic bag..

Re: FS: Classic thinkpads & parts
This time it won't work. A parcel from Chicago to Poland (0,5kg?) was blocked on US customs 2 times (collectible cards for my son), and back to the US most European Post Offices blocked ANY kind of shipments like, half a year ago? No matter the cost, they just won't take the risk. There are some third-parties that I can confirm do work, but the cost is 5-15x higher.BillMorrow wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 1:56 pmwhen i used to send thinkpads to Europe i had to fill in a customs form with valuations etc. it was always a gamble, insure for the real value or understate value for insurance and duties, how is that any different now, especially for junk parts computers..?
