When I ran Windows, I could undervolt my x41 using a nifty program called Centrino Hardware Control. Instead of running my CPU at .988 volts, I was running it at .700, and getting anywhere from 30mins to an hour more life.
How exactly would I do this in Linux? Thanks.

Undervolting the processor in Linux?
This is a kernel modification, i don't know how to do it in another way, and if you end up with a system that doesn't boot it's not my fault!
check out the file /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/kernel/cpu/cpufreq/speedstep-centrino.c
and modify the apropriate lines, recompile the kernel, boot it and you're done.
